The "mini usb cord end" is a firewire cable which allows the computer to transmit information to the monitor fast enough, because regular usb ports dont have the amount of speed needed. But great review, might get one myself. :)

It's not firewire. It's powered by USB. The whole monitor is powered by one USB cord on my computer. The specs also say it's a USB Mini 5-pin B Type connector. Thanks for the kind words, I have a first impressions video uploading and a full on product review set to be released on friday.
