    The only sad thing about all of these early songs is they were all too short (probably because of advice from record companies). I wish they were all extended by at least 1 minute or more each. Maybe 2 minutes? Music, feelings and lyrics are too great!

    Well, songs would have to be under 2 minutes and 30 seconds to get any radio play.

    I dunno if the same rule applied to regular album songs (in that case, they just wanted to make them short, I guess), but that was definitely the rule for singles (if they wanted radio play.)

    That was much later in the 1960s, after music progressed to a point that these previous "rules" of record-making were out the window. Many popular songs in that era were extremely long, in comparison to songs of only a couple years prior. In fact, songs over 3 minutes would be long, in comparison.

    whether or not this is a favorite melody, listen to the lyrics then... the Beatles could do it either way! its about time people started recognizing once again... I was lucky to have had them in my life time and so are the youth!
