IQ2US marks the launch of Oxford-style debating -- one motion, one moderator, three advocates for the motion, three against -- in New York City. Each evening begins at 6:00P with a complimentary cocktail period. As you enter the theater before the debate starts at 6:45P, you cast your vote for or against the evening's motion. Those results are displayed midway through the debate as each side makes its statements. After all six panelists speak, the audience has a chance to ask the speakers questions and vote again. The debate finishes with brief summations from the panelists, the votes are tallied and a winning side is declared.

This has nothing to do with racism. My wife's a Hispanic immigrant. But she wasn't too "lazy" to obey our immigration laws or to learn English. She too opposes the illegals, and doesn't want them to get what she had to get by doing things the right way.

This issue is about law & order, and not showing favoritism to only one group. For example, if a US citizen doesn't pay income taxes for several years, he will be prosecuted, and a huge fine imposed along with imprisonment. But not the illegals.

Illegal immigration is about one thing - CHEAP LABOR. It's a collusion between:

1) U.S. corporations

2) Illegal Immigrants

3) U.S. Politicians (paid off by businessmen to NOT enforce the law)

This is happening because U.S. businessmen want to undercut the U.S. labor class (ie. proletariat) & replace them with low wage workers.

WHO WINS? Illegal workers (earning FAR MORE than in Mexico) and U.S. businessmen in extra profits from cheap labor.

WHO LOSES? The U.S. labor/working class.

We can't allow local cities to make sanctuary cities policies, because they will bring our inner city turf wars to epic proportions by bringing in the drug cartel and Columbian gangs. @mrluke13, my wife also is opposed to illegals ... as are most immigrants, because illegals not only want to be given what the immigrants had to earn by many years of efforts on their part and compliance with the law, but also illegals make things harder on the immigrants. Don't confuse immigrants with illegals.

ALIPAC is specifically opposed only to ILLEGAL immigration. Their name says it all: Americans FOR Legal Immigration.
