My favourite movie of Meenakshi! It was this movie that reintroduced me to the 80s movies and she has been a fav of mine from that era ever since, along with Jaya Prada.
Also i heard this movie was unfortunately a flop! Hard to believe! :(

She surely is:) She won the 1981 Miss India contest, started her acting career with the film "Painter Babu". After completing hits-after-hits, she married, retired and is now residing in Plano, Texas. Hopefully we'll get to meet her someday:) Love Meenakshi!

Meenakshi was the beauty of the film and Mithun was the most handsome out of all of them. Love those two!

I looooove this song! This is one of Meenakshi's best songs and one of her best films of all time. "Ganga Jamuna Saraswathi" was truly a classic film and filled with other legends such as Mithun Chakraborty, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada (though I've never been much fans of the latter two). All of the songs from this film were and are a hit. Meenakshi performed three amazing numbers from this film, all with great amount of energy and perfection. She's a true entertainer!

She has a career as a Bharatnatyam, Kathak, and Odissi teacher/dancer. She has learned all four main dance styles of India and performed her Bharatnatyam Arrangetram at the age of four...Meenakshi was amazing in GJS and Hero
