You might assume that the animated TV series "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" is for little girls, but Bronies would beg to differ. Bronies are adult men who sincerely LOVE the show, and aren't afraid to admit it. Many people are baffled, even angered, by Brony culture. With their unabashed appreciation for "My Little Pony", Bronies are challenging our perception of gender roles, which may be more fluid than previously thought!

    Honesty I think its stupid that society would look at anything in the first place and judge it before learning what it is or basing it on what they think it is.

    @Reanna Smith:

    I am a guy and I don't like action movies and most Masculinity shows.

    I like MLP and Sailor Moon and sugar sugar rune. and Pink is my favorite color and I am tired of mainstream guys calling me "gay".

    Clearly your reading comprehension skills are lacking.

    I don't have a problem with people quietly watching the show in a dignified manner. It's obnoxious preteens and man-children who feel the need to worship and glorify the show, when it's really nothing special.

    There is no valid justification for the fandoms atrocious behavior, and yet you feel the need to attack and persecute others because they don't enjoy seeing Brony material spammed in there general direction?

    Nice logic bro.

    i dont even see whats wrong with gay people and why so many use it as an insult. also i cant stand haters hating on MLP. i watched it with my best mate before, he loves it and i personally think the show is ok. friendship is the most important thing in life and without your one true friend, whats the point in living? basically people should let others be who they wanna be whether they are gay or not or like a show that most people see as "girly". ppl need to focus on their own lives, not others.

    Did you really just type "bronis=fagget" (at least try to spell correctly) and then apologize? That's pathetic, if you're going to insult someone at least be a man and stand by what you say and or type.

    Of course not. Nothing is perfect, but that doesn't mean the show isn't brilliantly entertaining. If you actually watch the show you could see why it has drawn so many people in. In summary, it's just a feel-good family-friendly fantasy/adventure comedy that's comparable to the likes of Disney, Pixar and Looney Tunes.

    Also, the clopping aspect is only highlighted by the Brony haters like you. There is the same amount of fan-made porn with MLP as there is with every other fandom.

    I would argue that people are more so just going to accept, however ignore the brony culture, simply because the lack of girly stereotypes within the show do not portray the change in society that is viewed on more 'girly' things. But that's from a brony perspective (mine).

    From an outside perspective people will just see ordinarily masculine people who just happen to like a cartoon, like Looney Tunes etc, and thus ignore it.
