A young bride aged about 12 arrives for the wedding ritual along with her sister and falls off. 96 young child couples got married in this mass child marriage ceremony in May 2011, in Tonk, Rajasthan, India.

Embarrassed by the situation, she is shying away from the crowd. Child marriage is banned in India yet several marriages take place in states of Rajasthan, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh on Akha Teeja (Akshay Tritiya) as it is considered one of the most auspicious day for marriages.
