Red is ANA's favorite color. It is the color of sunrise and sunset. This color for ANA symbolizes love , passion, courage, vitality, beauty, and life. Red was originally written in spring 2011 for string quartet ETHEL and collaboration with flutist (the traditional Indian flutes) Robert Mirabal. The work was premiered with Ethel and Robert Mirabal, 14 April 2011. in the United States, under the Music of the Sun, whose theme was inspired by Indian mythology of Sun.

After composing string quartet, ANA wanted to write several versions of this composition for different types of ensembles and orchestras, including a string orchestra.This was world premiere of ANA's version for string orchestra.
