im always critical on sonic boom claims on youtube, no claim was made here. but what the hell was that boom i hear at 0:29 ?

@swajamike It sounded like a crackle maybe just before it breaks the sound barrier. That would be my best guess.

@swajamike The sound at 0:29 is just a ruffled sound from the jet going by at that speed. The pilot threw the throttle levers back and like sk8sonha8 said, the sound is just getting to the camera. Demo pilots are well trained when it comes to high speed passes and never try to exceed 0.98 mach, 0.95 at max. When you hear a jet fly by like that and you can hear a whining sound, that is when the speed of the air going into the engines matches the speed the engine is turning causing a wooovvv sound

@ManteganiPhotos actually the sound you hear is just the plane reaching the point of the camera. the sound of it hitting the edge of the sound barrier is at :24. if u listen closely when the vapor cloud closes you hear what sounds like a muffled bass drum hit. its kinda a bit hard to hear so you have to turn up the volume. if u wanna hear the boom a bit better go up to the upper right vid by wittmann51. his vid is really close and you can hear the pop at :20

wow, yea thats crazy, ive seen this pass from several different jets, and never heard this.. Thanks for sharing, great video as well as your other vids!
