@facefacts911 - chromeo? please, dont make me laugh. they arent even in comparisson. daft punk has been around since squarepusher but unlike tom jenkinson they havent progressed. there still pretty much doing the same thing. they only have 3 albums. on the other hand squarepusher has explored different forms of electronic musik and trys not to repeat himself. that is true progression. not repuataion or mimicing music of the 80's. @facefacts911 And the Zapp Band/Zapp & Roger did it before those two, so...? Making a slow jam and using a talkbox isn't a sign of regression and it's not like Daft Punk and Chromeo have been the only two groups to do so. I mean all Chromeo has done is taken an old sound (aforementioned Zapp and West Coast influences) and latched onto it and the only similarity between this and Daft Punk is that it's electronic music and slow and somber like Emotion or Something About Us...
