Duet by Gary Green and Ray Shulman of Gentle Giant. Even though the title track is from the Octopus album, this guitar version is off the Octopus Medley they used to play live, available on the BBC recording "Totally Out of the Woods" (highly recommended!) . You can see Gary's part on the video, I was rather lazy to film Ray's part.

  • Wow! Incredible job. Very well done.

  • @skorziks

First comment in seven months, I thought no one was watching it :) Thanks man!

  • Amazing!!!!! Such a difficult piece and you nailed it w/ perfection!

  • Thanks a lot ProgMom.

  • Hi Hyperboreal: I'm a huge early-Genesis fan and love your Steve Hackett/Ant Phillips guitar arrangements but I've never previously listened to Gentle Giant. After hearing this piece I'm going to check them out. Outstanding playing by yourself - as usual.

  • Hi gazzo, they're definitely worth checking out. But don't expect any similarities with those you mention, GG music is rather unclassifiable, they're pretty much a musical genre of its own. But it takes some listens to get used to it, so be patient. "The Power and the Glory" is also a good way to start (maybe not so obscure as other albums). Happy listenings! And thanks for watching.

  • Personally I started with "In a Glass House", and out of 4 albums I've heard I still consider it their best...

  • Wow, and I'm blown away what a cool piece, and amazingly precise duet with your pre-recorded self on the other half. Your mind must work a million miles a minute Alex!
