@AnnabelLolita You really do talk bollocks

@AnnabelLolita I thought you were arguing for the truth of Christian miracles based on the Bible. There's plenty I could object to the Bible and it's need for evidence, but I don't even think the God described in the Bible makes sense to begin with.

@AnnabelLolita There's also much that experts say is flawed in the Bible. It also depends on how you can explain problems away or allegorize parts of the Bible. There is history in the Bible, don't get me wrong, it's just that like other books of the ancient word historians can find historical truth without accepting all the myths people of those times put in their texts.

These two guys are lovely homosexuals. Please dont take the piss. Im not a homosexual but I do now respect them. It took a while, like 30 years. But eventually I had to give way that we all have to live with raving homo's. I used to be prejudice but not any more. Im much more open minded now about queers.

@RuinSonic Ur missing my point. I never claimed that there was massive evidence on the supernatural basis, since as u very well put it. Even today many people even the most educated and clever, can sometimes doubt what they are seeing or fail to fully comprahend it. However my point is. Most things that CAN be proved from the bible, such as historical cities, civilizations, events, leaders, major acts in the period can be tracked and be proved to be accurate. Derren got a flawed conspiracy...

@AnnabelLolita "it's possibly the most historically proved book in the world."
I don't know any historian who would say the Bible is the most historically proven book. The problem with trying to construct a case for Christianity is that you have to make a strong argument about the events that occurred and what people were like and how they couldn't be tricked and even then the credibility of the supernatural is so low that it would still be hard to prove a miracle using science.

Interesting interview, thanks. I was just wondering: the mediums who go to organizations like the Arthur Findlay College must be taught cold reading, the Barnum Effect and other fraudulent techniques there in secret. Such a conspiracy theory is likely to be true! Wouldn't it be a a worthwhile trick to infiltrate "Spooky College" and expsoe it? It shouldn't be hard to do. Take a TV camera with you and make a TV show; that would be an exclusive!

Derren Brown's experience is very close to my own, except that I was raised with family and friends who were Christian...and so I've been running from that guilt for a long time.

@achlysism That would be fine if philosophers and theologians would do the same. When they make claims like a man was born of a virgin, humans were created by a divine power and humans can talk to the "spirits" of the dead, they trample all over the realm of the physical world and the laws of science. In American, they even wish to teach creationism in schools in place of the scientifically sound theory of evolution! As a scientist, Dawkins rightly refutes these claims as nonsense.
