Hannu and me were watching the match in Sifnos, Greece (thank you internet) with a Swedish guy. Sweden went 1 -0.
What followed was just pure magic of course. Not just because we won, but because Hannu said "If we win this, the drinks are on me all night."

@mjonas10 Sure sure, I'm not denying that Swedish players dominate Finnish players in NHL, but that's why I'm glad that points in NHL do not mean automatic points in WC. As we saw, for example in Ovechkin's case, he was largely disappointing in WC (0+0=0), although he is treated like a god in NHL and scores huge amount of points there.

@Sakkoosulle Yeah but last year Sweden's best players won the NHL's scoring title and best defenceman trophy, while having 3 forwards in the top 10, while Finland's Selänne was the only Finnish player even in the top 30 among forwards. Sweden not having their best players hurt the team way, way more than for Finland.

@mjonas10 Your argument is invalid. Even though Sweden didn't have their best players, Finland didn't have best players either. For example only a handfull of Finnish NHL players played at this tournament

@mjonas10 10 Olympics Finland - Bronze , Sweden 5-8
-
Sweden - Finland 06 Olympics = 3-2 Sweden
Sweden - Finland 10 Olympics = 3-0 Sweden
Sweden - Finland 12 WJHC = 3-2 Sweden
Finland only wins when Sweden doesn't have their best possible players.

@finnchick59 I don't have to play with a full deck when my deck is stacked.
I can't stop watching this. Somehow it hasn't quite sunk in yet and I get more happy each time I watch it. :)
