Why does everyone like it so much?? Probably because in the late 90's or so there was an email that was sent out to hundreds of millions of people called "What if Data ran on windows" that was very funny and SO appropriate too. This was when we were all still dealing with the nightmare that was windows 98 with constant illegal operations, blue screen errors, shut downs, constantly reloading the OS and so much more. So the title is probably bringing back memories of that, good and bad.
