This used to be a big drag song in the 70's in the Louisville Ky gay bars....very hard to find on 45...God knows I've heard many scratched copies...this is the best condition I've heard this played. Thanks for posting.

@ShangoJamal This is actually laid back for Vivian. She probably has the biggest voice I've ever heard on a Broadway stage. She studied voice at Julliard too.

@TruthSerum101 Nevermind. I see that it was released in 1970. It's a great rendition. It gives a true sense of the melody than the other versions. I have say that Melba's 1976 version is still my favorite.

@TruthSerum101 I fell in love with Melba Moore when I was 7 years old (1976). I heard her sing this great song, and I completely lost my mind. Was Vivian Reed's version released before Melba's or even Aretha's?
