I graduated from Ball State and lived in Muncie for over 10 years. I am sure that there is nothing that could bring life to that dead town. There is nothing there. There are no jobs and all the skilled workers have left. The only smart people from Muncie leave it as soon as they can. Any body who thumbs uo this idea is an idiot that want to waste tax payers money.

@emme30 Yeah. Not seeing hillbilly.

@emme30 I agree that Muncie is full of intelligent people, and know great things will happen if our town is chosen. The film was made in a collaborative effort by both Muncie residents and BSU students: some even born and raised here. We are not portrayed as hillbillies. The characters are varied, diverse, and over-the-top: they are clearly not a reality, and not visual representations of us. It serves to deliver the message, professionally produced and presented in a visually entertaining way.

I responded that I like the video because I think Muncie has a lot to offer Google. I really feel the people at Ball State make us look like a bunch of hillbillies. I wish they had done a little bit more of a professional piece. We are an city full of intelligent people! I hope that we get this opportunity!

between the heavy pages and the guy randomly hitting something in the background, i enjoyed.
The video is full of blatant metaphors about wanting to accomplish tasks but being slowed down. It's supplemental to the detailed info in the RFI that Muncie submitted--explaining what it would do with the technology, and why it's a great place for Google to install fiber-optics.There are other parts stating that Muncie and Ball State (a campus nationally ranked for what it does with the internet and communication technology) have the capability to do even greater things with fiber-optics.
