@shark55555 Singing in his grunge-type voice is his brand that makes him unique. You can't expect him to sing it like Bernard Sumner sang it because it will sound imitated.

It's like Lady Gaga singing John Lennon's "Imagine" in her own New York accent. If she sang the song like John Lennon sang it, she'll sound silly and imitating. She gave her own style to this song.

Personally, I like the "grunge-like" sound the singer gave to this classic 80's New Order song.
