Six-Trak Demo Please note : At it's best when passing it thru the FX of your choice ! Sequential Circuits Six-trak 6 oscillator demo in monophonic mode. Filter env is legato. This video is only scratching the surface because those oscillators are actually 6 full sound that you can stack. It like having a monosynth with 6 lfo's, 6 amplitude section's, 6 filter section's and so on. This demo is 100% six-trak with no fx. I control every parameter from the fabulous Novation X-Station. All in midi cc standard from 00 to 35. STAY TUNE for probably the only Korg Monotron demo played like a real synth with a real keyboard and a full acces to real time controls using midi CC from my Novation and silent way. Also Superb monophonic solo sounds from my Roland JX-8P rarely seen on Youtube! Have you ever heard the Novation X-Station internal sounds ? I'll show you couple of my own preset. What about this full of Grease Oberheim Matrix-6R... You can't contain yourself thinking of an Arturia Minimoog V with the filter section at off and substituted by a real Moog filter : in midi with the Slim Phatty. Thanks for watching.

  • so how exactly are you controlling its parameters?

  • @rediculus08 You can control all the parameters with any midi controller that send midi CC. Then you'll program each knob and slider on your controller to the corresponding midi CC value of the parameter you want to control. ex: take any knob on your controller and assign it to the midi cc # 21. That will now control the Cuttof on the Six-Trak ! you do the same for all the other knob and slider. The midi CC of the Six-Trak range from #2 to #36.

  • @ticounecool oooo thanks. I am thinking about getting one. You don't have your MIDI chips modded or anything do you? I guess it's just funny that I have never seen anyone do that with a Sixtrak. I also assume that you can send the synth note data while sending it CC data from the same port of a MIDI controller, right?

  • @rediculus08 You don't need to do nothing on the Six-Trak to do all this. The midi implementation of it is very good for that time

  • It's a pleasure, very underated synth.

  • To marcpinol, Hi again, you can control each sound patch with a midi CC controller and save them but after that you don't have a choice to push stack mode 1 or 2 assign a patch to each voice and mix the volume of each (Do you know how to do this ? Ex : simply push and hold voice #1 button and in the same time turn the knob under it to your taste. I know it's a bum that it Only have 2 memory for stack mode, 100 would have been nice but better than nothing.

  • @ticounecool One last question, What is the OS of the ROM on this six trak?

  • My favorite stack patch:

    2x Raw Sawtooth for base

    2x Pure Square for fatness

    2x Pulse Wave for character

  • Thanks for this video. You have made a fellow Six Trak owner happy :).

  • Did it! Kinda hard to understand the process, but it's worth the effort... Can I control then each voice with the controller or everytime I want to play in stack mode will be the same pain in the ass?
