A video of our m&m candy color organizer. The machine identifies each piece of candy by measuring color RGB values. When this is done, the container wheel moves the proper container to the drop hole.
If an m&m is not identified, it will be moved to a dump container.

Everything is controlled by home-coded software on a Pc, coded in C#. Communication between Pc and the machine is done via Serial ports.

The chip used is an Atmel Atmega16 chip, programmed in BASCOM.

The machine and software was made as a final exam project at HTX Frederikshavn - Denmark.
Machine and programs for the chip and pc is coded by us.
