Charlottesville, VA (First pass-through)

Some extra footage I shot of Charlottesville, VA. My battery died before I could finish filming and there are some windshield crud issues, but still felt it was worth posting. Will post one again in a couple of months with more of downtown, UVA campus, and Monticello.

Everything you people like about this town you ruin, you overcrowd and mess with the locals and the general feeling is we don't like UVA students and people who come there for a

"rural chance at life". Sorry that's just the way it is. I've seen so much of our culture disappear in just a couple years.

@LitlMiraclePupnPony I did not make or edit this video with the idea that it was going to be a chamber of commerce piece. This is strictly amateur, second-rate filming that I wasn't even originally going to put up in the first place because I was unhappy with how it came out. If there's someone out there that want to make a better video tour of Charlottesville, all the more power to them.

I laughed when u stopped for the couple at the cross walk...Sometimes people just walk out so u have to be on the lookout for them....This city is my second favorite place in the United States hands down..A good place to raise children....I was amazed at how clean the air was....Absolutely love Charlottesville VA....

@JSpekGooseKrew I agree... this tops the list of places I would like to move to. Very nice little city. Going through some growing pains though. Hopefully the proposed US-29 bypass will alleviate some of that.

I love it...The first City I lived in outside of Charlotte NC...Didnt think I would like it and I was wrong...I dont remember any serious crime..People are friendly..I wasnt use to the snow but quickly got use to it there..Beautiful women..Just a peaceful place to live......Me and my wife plan to move back soon.....I will ride from Richmond just to eat at the Wood Grill Buffet..lol....I learned my way around very easy without getting lost and that was a plus...

i use to live in charlottesville since 2006&2008 i have lots of good memories of my town its preety amazing and i want to set a chout out to lisa bowles of charlottesville i miis y friend lot of memories

@vehext Thanks... I think this was filmed on a Saturday or Sunday morning. I might re-shoot this video at some point in the next few months. I wasn't very thrilled with the video quality on this one.

Excellenet! The tour you gave was nicely done and captured the essence or our community. Where was all the traffic though?

UVA Grounds, not campus.

Dave Mathews isn't from here, but the rest of the band is from here and attended local schools. They give a lot back to the community and are all down to earth and easy to talk to. I remember back in the early 90's local radio station 3WV announcing we had better go see them at Trax (now defunct) before they get big. Wow!
