I wanted to try and recreate the sound of "Freestyle" 80s electro pop, songs like Let The Music Play & Give Me Tonight by Shannon, Tell It To My Heart by Taylor Dayne, and Why Don't We Live Together by Pet Shop Boys. The video is a kind of sequel to my PSB Minimal 1987 remix, but unlike that video this one develops a little story.

The Shannon album was released in 1984. I was influenced by Give Me Tonight, they were years ahead of everyone else!

Shannon's 'Give me Tonight' 12" mix is totally wicked. Incidently, this remix is head and shoulders, without doubt for me, the best mix you have done pal, with shades of PSB's Opportunities, touch of mid-80's Chicago house, PSB's Please album, and something else I can't quite put my finger on... Keep up the good work man. (I also love the video)

That's an excellent mix and video. When I saw the PSB at Thetford Park I saw their 'box dancers' performing. This PSB song touches a strong chord with me. Regret over things done, terrible mistakes made and memories of the way 'it used to be' are hard to be absolved from.
