Picasa can go down to 1/6 of a second per photo on the display of a photo and you are correct that the Photo program that comes with the Canon Rebel Xti will only go down to .05 seconds. I use a Plicx time lapse attachment (about $100) and have taken photos at . 02 seconds and I hear the shutter click every 2 sec. but the number of the photo on the display does not go down one number with each click. I can get over 2700 small photos with standard mem. card. The intervalometer sounds great..

I have the same problem sometimes when I try to add the music in the Picasa Movie Maker. If I just make the movie in Picasa and add the music with Flash Video MX Pro I have no problems.

No, It is not expensive, but it is nice to wind these big videos down to a flv before uploading. It compresses it about 10 to 1.

I also use Picasa 3 for time lapse I use a Plicx Time lapse attachment to take photos but you can use your notebook and a program where you can set your camera to take a photo at certain intervals of time. One of these programs comes with a Canon Rebel. I edit and at titles and music in Windows movie maker as I have been using it a long time. If you are haven't done this better save Windows Movie maker every chance you get because it freezes every now and then ... Welrdelr

The Canon Rebel EOS utility program that lets you theater to a lap to is limited to 5 second intervals or longer. A $20 intervalometer I got on eBay allows down to 1 second intervals . This video was shot at 3 second intervals. I get much better results and have a much greater playback speed with Picasa than QuickTime Pro.
