In the summer of 2009, twenty middle-schoolers in Suwon, South Korea participated in an English camp that put them on both sides of the movie camera. Their task - to direct and star in their own reproductions of scenes from various Hollywood films. The students were wholly responsible for auditions, casting, set design, costumes, acting and directing with the sole intent of recreating the original scene as accurately as possible.
This is their portfolio in seven parts, as edited and presented by their very impressed foreign English teacher. Hopefully this project can inspire more students to continue to pursue their education with the mindset that learning a second language can be both rewarding and fun, and at the same time encourage their teachers to use more creativity in the classroom. Bring the language alive and off the pages of the textbooks - your students will thank you!
This video introduces the project. As stated in the video, the description of each scene will include a notation of when the original scene can be found in the Hollywood film. Comparison to the original scenes is encouraged! Thanks for watching!

I'm an ESL teacher in Taiwan. I think this is a great idea you've come up with, and the results are hilarious. I really like the Anchorman and the Super Troopers videos.
