  • This book is long overdue in my humble opinion. Although I have an advertising background but left corporate years ago for taking up a career in Veterinary Nursing & Pet Care, (and becoming a mini-entrepreneur, too) I've always felt "slimy" about promoting myself ( and/or my business.) I'd love to know how to market from a "holistic" point of view. I know I'd be a lot more successful if I felt good about marketing. Lynn, how much longer do we have to wait until your book available?

  • @BatYamStudios Thanks for sharing you own experience. Much appreciated, and it underpins all the reasons why I am publishing this book. As far as when it is coming out, I had planned for it to come out in June, buy I have simply been WAY to busy with the marketing campaigns for my clients this spring. After June 1st, I will not be doing any more book launches until autumn.. I still have some MAJOR editing to do before I complete the final draft. I'm aiming for early Sept.

  • Simply revolutionary...it is time we all got on board. Starts with one impassioned person with a great sense of humor and a great deal of talent, and that is you, Lynn!

  • @lm824 Wow. Can I quote you on my website? You've really made me feel appreciated today. Thank you!

  • Marketing is like a grip with one hand in the toilette.

    But, it works like this.

So, if you like to sell, find the ass who dips his hand into the closet.

As human you can like it or not.

  • @HighFlyingRaven I totally agree with you about the frequency of ads. When I visited the US last January (for the first time in many years) I was staying in a hotel and had nothing to do, so I thought I'd watch TV. I found an episode of Grey's Anatomy and found that I simply could NOT follow the show, as it the commercial breaks were so incessant. In my book, this is one aspect of what I call "Invasion" (there's more to it than just TV adverts), and it's one of the "7 Deadly Sins" of marketing.

  • Very good, Lynn. Thank you, and good luck with your new book.

    blessings and continued inspiration,

    CG

  • Lynn this is great! First of all, it is brilliant example of conveying a complex message concisely, precisely and entertainingly! Excellently edited!

Secondly the message itself is one which you know resonates with me -and which needs telling by skilful communicators like you. I do hope the TED judges agree...And, thirdly, your book promises to be one of the most important of the year -whichever year it gets published!

. I look forward to reading it and to sharing it! Shelagh at Spiritus

  • @gardenofthesoul Yes, you can quote me. Signed, a Pinnacle Peep.

  • @paulatarrant Wow. I hope they feel the same, Paula. It's my dream to be on TED Talks. They're awesome.
