I think your views are understandable, esp., in the light of recent horrors, but when you ask 'why we should care'...take a look at Capital punishment 101/aclu. I think there are many reason we should care, particularly when we know innocent people will be killed by the State if CP is re-introduced.

you're right, sentences are usually dished out without any evidence at all. especially with murder cases.

Capital Punishment would desensitize us all (even more). Why would anyone disagree with Life in prison WITHOUT parole, then at least, any miscarriage of just could be corrected.
