The Full Moon Show is back with a very special episode looking at the history of Insomniac's best-selling PS3 launch title, Resistance: Fall of Man. Join Insomniac CEO and Founder Ted Price, Chief Creative Officer Brian Hastings, Lead Designer Drew Murray, and Concept Artist Carlo Arellano as they discuss the beginnings of I-8. From its journey as a futuristic space opera, to World War I invasion, to its final form as an alternate history 1950s Resistance, I-8 came a long way during its development process.

Tune in on June 24th for the complete audio of the discussion!

  • its funny how at a company like this, they couldnt get microphone that didnt look like they were from '96 and about to fall apart.

  • @josiskrazy1 They are actually really, really good professional microphones for the audio podcast.

  • @sparced R1 and R&C trophy patches are not nearly as easy as you might think, and would take a LOT more effort to patch than folks realize. It simply wasn't feasible.

  • what insomniac needs to bring back:

-inventory with all weapons (not just 2, this isnt call of duty or a realistic game)

-the old gritty effect (R:FoM looked actually like it could have been in the 50s, not like R2 which might as well be in the year 3000)

    -long ass campaign

props to R:Retribution for keeping these wonderful features

-co-op campaign (the reason i completed it on superhuman 4 times, and still hale it as the best cooperative game on the ps3)

thumb it up if you agree

  • @thepineapple1 actually if you look at the R3 trailers, its seems they are bringing all that back!

  • The weapon wheel is coming back, correct? That's a good thing, IMO. R2 was just too easy without the weapon wheel. I became an expert Carbine user on R2, and part of that was because of the lack of weapon wheel. RFoM took skill to use the Carbine.

  • @malikgod but Resistance 3 will stomp them both and gears of war 3 with them.

  • wow that was pretty cool seeing and knowing about how the development went for resistance fall of man

  • i liked fall of man, it has that 1950's feel and theres a tension to it, unlike most fps like call of duty or medal of honour where it doesn't have much of an atmposphere. The weapons they cut sounded cool but if i'm honest i didn't really miss them much. my only anoyance with the game is that you were american and the americans come and save the world again! it would have been nice just once to have been british. It was cool fighting through nottingham though, my home town!

  • @Zeiss120 resistance2 ,bigger and better than, fall of man in every way.

  • Are there more videos of the concept renders?

  • wow those dropships at start look ripped straight from Aliens

  • @insomgames uncharted did it

  • @sparced clearly you didnt play R2. there wa more quantity over quality, but to say people have given up on the Resistance franchise is like saying people have iven up on milk
