  • Hey guys

i know you are covering ALOT of topics on your blog --but i come to this site to hear/view up to the minute discussions and reviews.

So where is that MARVEL DISNEY video?

The comic club guys ( who i cant stand) posted one the next day !

Save the good stuff for your videos. Some people dont have time to read blogs and would rather have your videos play while they work ect.

    Just my 2 cents

  • Jose has been sick, so we were not able to record any new segments this week, something that everyone who READS THE BLOG ALREADY KNOWS! LOL.

    Seriously, though, we'll be back.

    Promise.

    Elliott

  • FF #570 was the first single issue FF story i picked up as well as the first Hickman story I've read and I loved it. I also found the illustration of Reed Richards to be a little off.

And if you ever do a word of the week on the CCW blog, I suggest "pretentious" be the first.

  • Done and done. Plz visit the CCW Blog and comment on our Word of the Week!

Oh, and please feel free to suggest even more.

  • Slott was on CCW posting a few days ago

and fellas the word is spreading about E & J, my LCS guys talk about you two.

  • Uh oh,,,is that a good thing?

    J.

  • When did Mr Fantastic get so buff? I always thought him as one of the more slender superheroes.

  • yeah i would take the infinity gauntlet to be above teleport machine.

yeah i held out on this issue but i put the next one on hold to see if it Bangs or fizzles.

  • Elliot i agree with your view on Fantastic four. retro is always cool but that book should really be cutting edge.

The Kirby 70s throw back will get very OLD a lot quicker than the Miller run which i thought was darn good. (but shoud have been great)

  • Hell yeah it's a good thing, it means people are finding this show. It means folks are listening, hell it might be a means for E to get more work and for you to get your hands on Jeph Loeb and smack'em :-)

  • Hickman's "Dark Reign FF" story got really out there by issue 4. It drifted into Morrison territory for a minute lol. Cowboy FF, flying pirate ships, Venom-Skrulls, Susan Richards with scurvy. What the Hell is going on?! But it was good.

I can see what you are saying, Elliott, about the art being slighty Kirby-esq. I can see it, but Englesham's art is excellent. It looks better than his JSA work.

  • lol alright gus saying its all good it cool the way it is lol

  • Issue 570 arrived in the post this week and was a huge breath of fresh air in comparison to millar's boring pomposity.

I didn't get much Kirby vibe from the art though, I felt it was much more like John Buscema's art or perhaps Paul Ryan from his late 80's run.

His Reed was strange though, much more like the art of british 60s/70s artists like Gerry Embleton or Ron Turner, not an unappealing prospect at all.
