The lie is that atheism is a belief system.

The truth is that atheism is not even a belief, far less a belief system.

The why is so that they can falsely increase the already falsely assigned burden of proof on atheism.

  • Christians who attack atheism know that the best form of defence is attack. All they have to do is put up some straw men and we are forced onto the defensive. They know that their arguments are absurd but just putting Atheism onto the defensive makes it look weak.

This is why politicians and lawyers rarely respond to an attack with a long rebuttal, they quickly dismiss it and then attack back.

The correct response to all their bollox is "No. So you believe it was a magical Hippy?"

  • @chrisofnottingham. You may be right. Perhaps it's time we were more on the attack.

  • Just one point: Some of the music in this video drowns out your voice occasionally. Just keep that in mind for the future

  • @Plausiblesarge. Thanks.

  • I work with a Christian a apologist that likes to use the term "universal negative" He says that I can't prove a negative. I said " God probably doesn't exist " he said that I was wrong and my reasoning was flawed because it;s a universal negative. How do I rebut his argument? ............I really liked your smurf analogy, hope you don't mind if I use it. I also hope you can make another video using this term.

  • @wiggy7373 . Hi Wiggy7373. I talk about just that in the next video, Lie # 4, "You can't prove that god doesn't exist." Thanks for the comment.

  • I'm with the author and neuroscientist Sam Harris in regards to Atheism (and indeed ANY form of the word, e.g. Atheist). "Atheism" is quite simply a non-sensical label. As Sam has stated, "no one wakes up in the morning and feels compelled to remind himself that he's a non-astrologer or non-alchemist. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make when in the presence of religious dogma. Atheism is simply a refusal to deny the obvious."

  • The Story of Wonko Part 6 FINAL: Beware of false Wonkos. There is JUST the one true dead and resurrected living Wonko. In the name of Wonko the Father, Wonko the Son and Wonko the Holy Ghost. Take the pledge today: >>>>> "I am a miserable & lousy little boob of a sinner. I am completely incapable of taking responsibility for my own life. I CANNOT think for myself and must be controlled or I WILL DO EVIL. I have no future and no brain so I pledge to let Wonko be my master forever and ever."

  • I believe Logic alone is a belief system. To even test elements of situations needs faith that you're testing the right elements to an argument. To prove god true or false, is a futile argument. Every word of the bible may not be correct (we don't know the right element to test) but on the other hand, there are verses which if god DID exist, they would be perfectly fit verses.

How can we test how heavy the universe is for example if we can't weigh it?

  • @robvlob Oh please

  • @BT3701 Lmao By the same exact criteria you call him a liar you are lying yourself. IE knowledge of every society/tribe/civilizations beliefs.

However if a modern example can be found that would lends credence to his argument then it may be considered plausible.

    Search for Piraha tribe

  • @hammerandnails777 He's not trying to get laws passed, using scare mongering dogma, &/or ostracizing for not conforming to his beliefs. Now that's an actual example of imposing.

Not this freedom of speech video which you where free to watch or not watching is your choice & is not imposing in any way shape or form. If you're ignorant of the definition of impose that is excusable if you understand your wrong if not refer to video 0 in this series

  • Where did you get the idea that you HAVE TO BELIEVE in the God of the Bible??

    You don't have to...

That's why wood for the fire exists...LOL

Now, if you simply want to demolish the belief in God, because you have nothing else to do, that's another story...

The main atheist line besides that there is no God, is that believers IMPOSE their religion or their beliefs on them.

But watching this waste of time video, I am asking you..who is imposing on who???

    Just a thought!

    Go on believing on NOTHING

  • Interesting that you tell lies, in attempt to point out supposed lies that Christian's tell. One such lie in this video which you stated was that before anyone invented any god, everyone was an atheist. That is a blatant lie of great magnitude. Fact is, there was never a point in human history in which everyone was an atheist.

  • @BT3701

" Lastly, atheism's non-belief in gods is at the same time a belief that no god exists."

Do you believe in Kaplanecs? In Storchauns? In Iriderites? I made up those words, but now, according to *you*, you are holding beliefs that they do not exist. According to *you*, you are holding active beliefs that none of 10,000+ gods men have invented do not exist. That's a lot of "beliefs"! According to you, your head would be full of things you don't believe. It's absurd.

  • Why do atheists lie? Where is your proof that "before any civilized thoughts, everybody was an atheist." That's a lie. Another lie is that all babies are atheists. Whereas babies are neutral in their thinking about whether or not any god exists, atheists are pro-active in their thoughts by stating the evidence for a supernatural being is lacking. Lastly, atheism's non-belief in gods is at the same time a belief that no god exists.

  • @niinja2 I agree with you that ancient babies may have grown up and invented gods with or without someone telling them (in fact, that's were the first concepts of gods did come from) out of their dualistic nature, the same nature that drives modern children to create imaginary friends. But in the same way we encourage adults to discard their childhood imaginary friends modern humans are no longer dependent on theology and myth to explain their universe nor to satisfy their dualism.

  • before human civilization invented gods everybody was an atheist...

    what a load of crap

where do you think the "civilization " invented gods from and when did this exactly happen?

this is showing lack of understanding of logic psychology and history.

children are natural born dualists, and they would eventually come to a conclusion that there is a god whether anyone told them. And t was common knowledge to Neanderthals that "thunder" and "earthquaqe" are caused by gods.
