@lexerization I think that this song is about how overprotective his mother was of everything he did. His dad was away in the war. His mother wanted to "build a wall" around her and him, but it only pushed him away further (thats what this song is about), and in the end he built a wall around just himself. (His emotional wall that is, we all have a wall that surrounds us, we just can't let it get too high, and thats what this album is about... he built his wall too high.)

The meaning of the song, in only a few words. It's about a son who confides everything in his mother, however in the end she is still his mom and will always have that base level of authority over him. She will sway every decision of his life, whether she means to or not. Overprotection, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment...
