Yale Freshman, the time is here.
The storied tradition of Freshman Olympics will once again transform Old Campus into an Olympic Village, and pit freshman against freshman in an all-out war to see which college has what it takes to bring home the gold.
The festivities will start with opening ceremonies on Old Campus the evening of April 8th at 10 pm. Watch as the Olympic Torch is passed to the respective colleges and as the competitive juices begin flowing.
Events the day of will include:
Dodgeball, volleyball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, tug of war, trivia, mario kart, competitive wikipedia searching (yes competitive wikipedia searching), duck duck goose, a dance-off, t-shirt designing, a relay race, project runway, and the walk-off.
Sign up to compete in an event through your Freshman Olympic captains, and come and support your college on a day that we promise will be one for the ages.
Also, from 12-2 pm, we will be providing a FREE BBQ lunch for all Yale Freshman, so be sure to stop by and give a shout out to some of our grill masters. We are also proud to say that we are going sustainable with our BBQ; everything will be compostable or reusable.
Keep in mind, this is a freshman only event. Sorry sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
Which college will bring home the coveted Freshman Olympics trophy and have the bragging rights of being called the GREATEST RESIDENTIAL COLLEGE?
