  • @ctperry06 of the 1st 2, ive never seen signs of that issue, and nobody i know of had ever seen it before... but i guess its pretty common... they way i fixed it, its quite likely the strongest part of the car now

  • @mageac I sold the '90 New Yorker in July 2009 for $500. 5 hours later, I got a call from the lady I sold it to saying that it "broke." That bracket had finally given way and the coil spring bounced right out of it. I had to buy it back and we eventually sold it for parts to a guy in my hometown for $100. Tore me right to pieces. Since then I bought an '84 Chevy Caprice and I sold that back in July 2010 and now I'm driving a '92 Lincoln Town Car, which is awesome.

  • @ctperry06 i just got a dynasty for $300 because the same bracket was broken for $300... welded it up with a brace in about 15 minutes lol, but the rest of it is in perfect condition its the 3rd newyorker/dynasty ive owned, im in nova scotia, and the winters are not kind to them, both other previous cars ive had i stripped for parts because rust attacked the front subframe, along with just about the entirety of the rest of the car

  • sweeeeeeeeeeet

  • Cool, I didi that on wet or dry pavement with my parking brake on. I got the same wheel covers with white wall tries. I can't wait until the day I get new wheels and tires.

  • Awesome. I love doing that. Was always afraid of damaging the engine or something, but did it occasionally anyways.

  • that piece of shit isn't worthy of the new yorker badge it wears.fuckin k-cars still give me a headache years later...

  • I have a 1990 chrysler new yorker as my first car, and its f**kin' awesome! It's so comfortable, so reliable, and has a decent engine! The only downside is that I live in Maine, and a car won't go for more than 260,000 miles before rusting out from underneath you! My poor car is rusted to the point where the back right coil spring bracket is cracking. Once that goes, I'll need a new car. There are some things that just can't be replaced.

  • thats the exact same car i have now..its so fuckin comfy

  • Beautiful New Yorker!! I miss that cars!!
