Internet Controlled Telepresence Robot

This is my internet controlled robot that i made as a school project. Onboard the robot is an Asus EeePC 701SD which has custom software on it, written in VB6. The chassis is made out of L shaped lengths of aluminium pop rivoted together. The electronics include a Pololu 8 channel serial servo controller and a Pololu 3 channel motor controller. The motors are tamiya planetary gearboxes. The whole thing is powered by a 2 cell Lithium Polymer battery. I am using windows netmeeting to handle the video and audio feed and i remote desktop into the EeePC to control the robot. It also has a GPS on it so i can see where it is on google maps. The robot works over the internet via an Huawei E180 HSPA modem on the OPTUS 3G network so it can practically go anywhere, but it can also connect through a standard wireless router to connect to the net. On the front is a small robotic gripper so i can pick things up and move them. I hope you like it!
