Sir Lord Baltimore SHOULD have been a huge band, as big as all the other "heavies" of the early '70s. But the poor band only made two albums and neither sold squat! I would say that Sabbath and Baltimore are equally as heavy, SLB is more manic than Sabbath. Not all heavy metal bands sound alike. I discovered these guys in late 2005 and had my mind BLOWN by their two albums! I'm FB friends with the guy you here signing (and drumming!) Mr. John Garner.
