This is a presentation by J. K. Tauber about research being done into how to teach language with a computer-generated graded reader. The examples relate to learning Ancient Greek from the New Testament but the approach could be used for any language where the primary goal is reading comprehension of a particular corpus. A mailing list to discuss this is now available at http://groups.google.com/group/graded-reader

  • This is very interesting - I have long been of the opinion that the scientific almost mathematical approach to approach to learning a language is often counter-productive. Would be interested to hear of updates.

  • Not sure if you've been checking the comments, but I am wondering how things are progressing with your Graded reader?
