Ok, my next experiment with this crappy Casio CTK 700 was using something more powerful... not that bad but it has nothing to do with my beloved Yamaha SY-85!

  • I found a casio CTK 810 the same price as the Yamaha E313. The CTK 810 sounds way better than the 700 you hear up there but .... still not as good as yamaha psr e313.... the casio has piano styled keys and better learning features than the yamaha. So if you want the piano feel to it when pressing keys, i think you should go for the Casio CTK 810...

So whats more important... Sound quality or functionality and appearance????

I'm going to buy one today.. I havnt made up my mind yet

  • in my opinion: sound quality, period.

  • What tone did you use?

sounds great! but I have to admit that the sound is crappy. I also have this one..but im a beginner..so. first I have to learn more. then get a better keyboard

  • Well, I don't remember 'cause i sold it! it was pure shit. But some of the synth pads i believe.

  • i've owned one for 3 years. Looking for somthing better now.

  • i just got a 700 for xmas,what tone did you use for jump,i used 48

  • Have to agree with that. Casio CTK's were dreadful compared to the Yamaha PSR range and Techincs KN range and Roland E range.

  • yes it is :)

  • How about a Casio WK-3800?

  • use the voice "jump brass" its the best voice i know

  • I have a Korg Karma

  • I think you should drop the keyboard talk and buy yourself a real synthesizer where you can edit your own sounds. It sounds much better and feels much better too..
