I have one of these as well! This may sound strange but I love the sound of it....it's like white noise to me....reminds me of my childhood and the hours I would spend watching slides with my siblings.

what type of bulb you use in your projector?

5) place slide UPSIDE DOWN in slot behind lens (if you have loaded trays, like this one uses, you're all set)
6) turn it on!
@Galactic several Argus projectors were called 300, most used a type CLS, they can be found cheap on the net

@Jessability: The basic rules are:
1) make sure there is no unwanted matter (paper, leaves, dust) in the lamp well.
2) make sure the electrical cord is in perfect condition to avoid shock or fire (this goes for any electric appliance)
3) plug it in to a good solid outlet (a good connection is needed because they do use hundreds of watts)
4) aim at a screen, stretched plain bedsheet, of plain white wall (light beige or pale blue will work! Your eyes will adjust) (continued)
this is so amazing! could you give insturctions to this. I found one and am overjoyed to have an awesome piece of time like this!

My Grandmother passed a way a few years ago, and we got hers. We need to get a light bulb for it.
