Maybe Kevin and Scotty were just too different to make it work. Or, maybe Kevin just walks around with his foot firmly in his mouth and Scotty's just a little bit of a drama queen.

Perhaps.

But, at any rate, between Kevin's apology here (and in his drunken rambling in an earlier episode) and Scotty's apology the morning after their first date, it's pretty clear that they both need help being a boyfriend but don't need any help grovelling.

One of the reasons I liked the Kevin Walker/Scotty Wandell relationship is that their main conflict had to do with class issues. Usually, when a gay couple is on a U.S. network TV show, all of their problems have to do with being homosexual (accepting themselves, other people's homophobia, etc). Kevin and Scotty both had more dimensions to them than just being gay.

@Unfamousl, I agree. I believe that I have seen this in some interview that the producers want them to be a regular couple that just happen to be a same-sex one.

@Unfamousl True. However, I don't think solely money dictates class. Scotty was always more gentlemanly and polite than Kevin ever was. In my opinion, Kevin was a self-centred, arrogant boor and he never deserved someone as good as Scotty. I believe that even if Scotty were a billionaire, their relationship wouldn't have worked out.

I always thought Kevin was an arrogant bastard. Scotty deserves much more.
