The regular HP of this bike is 49 or 50 i think. In Germany, motorcycle drivers with the age between 18 and 25 have to start with HP-reduced bikes for a certain time after they've achieved their driving licences.. Today it's 34 HP, later there will be 48 HP.

@rob121212blue That would be an easy fix back to full power, Just buy taking the restrictor's plates out, In this case washers. So my hypotheses was right. Thank's for the info about the washers. I am sure the factory dyno ed the motors, To get the right size hole. Rob thank's again, yl

@ylism there are 2 metal washers inside the inlet valves before the carbs in the engine, these washers have smaller holes in them only allowing a certain amount go into the carbs, this make the engine only 34HP. hope this helped

Does anybody know how they restrict the bikes to 34hp ? To do it right, I would think they would need a dyno, and a carb restrictor plate of the right size between the carburetor & the intake port. On a FI bike the ECU would need to be programmed to do the same. Any others know if this is how done ???

@ylism I meant to say 50-hp, The Ninja500r has the 59hp motor only.

@earthix nearly correct. with 16 u can make the first license for bikes up to 11hp y think and 80km/h, with 18 you can make the second license, what allows u to drive up to 34hp, with 25 or 2 years of having one of the other two licenses you are allowed to ride any bike. so you could ride any bike at 18 if you make the first license at 16.
