  • Note: You will need to stir the rice periodically with a fork to redistribute it. Good luck, peoples.

  • Rice Pudding: 1 1/2 cups 1% lowfat milk, 1 1/2 cups half and half (or use 3 cups whole milk). Heat milk in sauce pan over medium high heat to just under a boil. Add 1/3 cup uncooked long grain rice. Add 1/3 cup raisins if desired. Reduce heat to simmer. Cook, covered over low heat for about an hour, or until milk is absorbed. Be patient, it takes awhile. Remove from heat, and stir in 1/4 cup sugar, 1 teasp. vanilla, and 1/4 teasp. cinnamon and/ or nutmeg.

  • I have come to the conclusion that some people do not know what rice pudding is supposed to taste like. I have not tried this recipe, but 1 cup of uncooked rice is way too much for 4 cups of milk. I know this, because I use 3-4 cups of milk to 1/3 cup of uncooked rice, and this is the consistency it is supposed to be. This dude is tripling the amount of rice used. This recipe may have a nice flavor, but the texture will be off if you do this. Trust me on this.
