The Fiat Cinquecento from 1991 uses the same engine apparently, fantastic!

I see the radiator has been moved to the front. It's usually much more crowded in there!

and is there anyother name for them because i can't get a quote from an insurer

@fiatnutz When I was 17 ('75) I was spending the summer with my Dutch Oma & she bought me a '68 Fiat 850 Special for the summer. It ran fine for the little time I drove it. That's where I recall the exhaust manif. I think the carburetor was a two barrel, possibly a Weber, but my memory is an imperfect thing. The engine was 100 per cent European stock.

@fiatnutz even my dads stock 850 sounds good:D

Take a look in Spain, they were made there a sold as a SEAT. They are somewhat plentiful there. We only got just a few Sedans here in the States and it makes them very hard to come by.

I always thought that the exhaust manifold on these looked very 'header' like.

@kolbpilot - They do, this is just a 4-1 system that I made about 20 years ago. The stock 66-69 exhaust was a 4-2-1, the 70-up was a 4-1, but not anywhere equal length and long enough. The original Sedan had a cast iron manifold with a single pipe down to the muffler.

it is so silent at idle rpm:)

@golf1diesel - I have to use a couple of different silencers, depending on where I race. Some events limit sound to 93 dB, and others are 100 dB. I spit out my silencer in San Diego a couple of weeks ago and was popped @ 101 dB, which disqualified the run - luckily it was my last run of the day - it sure does sound sweet @ 8300 rpm's!!!!
