Yes mate. Yoy're right. There is no way you can spot a person or dog in a curvy country lane at night, but driving 2 or 3 o'cl at night it's a diffrent case. It's small probability that you'll meet someone. You still can get a cat or something small which can cause hughe damage.
@Tomkak: mate if you're able to achive 70mph and carry that speed in such a roads you must be crazy. If your name is not Sebastian Loeb there is no chance to drive as you said. Best. Lads.

Very nice driving Matra :P
How does it compare to a rally car?

I always wonder when driving like that, WHAT IF there will be someone driving oposite to me with the same speed? I rather like to drive at night as it is a bit safer. Still, hell of a fun.

good point and absolutely correct.
Teh advanced driving/riding technique is to control spped to match the so-called "vanishing point". If you can't react/stop in the distance you can see then going too fast. Tomkak misses that important safety point.
I woudln't say night is safer ... fine for other vehicles but not pedestrians, animals or objects :)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
when I was 16 I drove audi 80 (1989) about 70 m/h in this kind of roads, you just make this nice car look shit in this road by driving 20m/h. Shit vid

Clearly you've no concept of speed and speed reocingition in an in car video.
I can assure you you NEVER drove at 70mph on roads like that wet and layer of mud :) You might ahve GOT to 70 on a long straight bit :)
