Truly Lived - Ohayocon 2009 Winner

Winner for "Staff's Pick" at Ohayocon 2009

Please read the info, don't worry it's short this time

Well this was actually my final project for my video/audio tech class aka my editing class. We ether made a trailer or a music video. As you can see I went with a music video.

Some of the requirements are that the song could be no longer then 2mins and 30sec not counting the credits and that we needed to have 2 still images. This project was due at the end of the term which is at the end of August. I got this done in 3 days in the middle of July.

I had the idea for awhile but I didn't want to really do it since the song been used....twice already by really good editors. Also I didn't want to edit to something so long, though if I did I wouldn't have used the movie but the TV series. So this really wasn't going to be made but when the project was assigned it seem like an easy and simple idea to work with and not to stress about. I did have 2 other ideas but I went with this one and I'm glad I did.

Anyway this is just meant to be something to edit for a grade, I actually ended up liking this a lot and it came out much better then I expected. I'm not really going to go for points since I expecting comparisons to happen. However I really enjoyed making this. Also this is my 1st video under my new username.

I'm not sure what your reaction will be but I do hope that you enjoy it. That's all I really hope for, well that and an A for my grade.

P.S. The song was 5:01 and I was able to get it down to 2:38 which was the shortest I could get it and I think it sounds good. Even if I get hell about the song choice or how it's edited then thats to bad since I love this song and I like my edit.

thanks for the comment, also the reason for that rule is because I list what I use in my profile, just most people are too lazy even read the info on the side, much less my page.
