This video highlights precisely the problem with the film (and to a lesser extent) the books. It's more pronounced in the film though where, for whatever reason, directors insist throwing Harry and Hermione together in key critical moments of emotional stress, or moments of genuine bonding. They delight in playing off of the natural chemistry between Radcliffe and Watson, which stands in stark contrast to Grint/Watson who, despite the forced 'jealousy', have little actual chemistry.

AND Ron and Hermoine's characters had that continuously awkward friction that just made them perfect for each other.
