  • Bad tone dialing! The mesa's controls dont work the same way like other traditional amps. Sorry, poor representation of a classic amp!

  • I agree, but most of it is the video is at very low volume and being BADLY compressed by Sony Vegas. I couldn't find anything els to sync the video with the mic. I'd appreciate any suggestions though.

  • Sorry, sounds like shit, wheres the gain wheres the saturation?Sounds like a shitty cranked marshall. For the cost of this amp it should be melting paint off the walls.Dude return it a buy a Framus Cobra.

  • I might not be good at recording samples.. but I've played a Framus Cobra.. It's just a better dual rectifier. No thanks.

  • I dont know how so many of you in youtube sit 4 feet away from 4x12 cabs and tube amps cranked. Id be on the other side of the room and it still would be too loud. Nice setup man.

  • @fuckyou334 Completely disagree,Checked out the mk5 shortly after spent hours with it @ music store and friends studio.Played it every possible way,Loud ,super loud, soft etc. Conclusion, the MK5 is a good rock amp but not good for metal.(IMP)Lacks much saturation, lowend.Over all very disappointed with it.

  • @cast390 Framus cobra is not as good as mesa boogie and marshall. youve been ripped off. the problem we see here is that almost every1 on youtube with a mesa boogie amp doesnt use it correctly . they dont have the mount rackings. theres a guy on youtube that has test a lot of heads with a pro sound but played fake metal, so You can clearly hear from that specific guy on youtube that the mark V is unbelievable. awesome.

  • The mark v is badass ..just got done jammin through one...also played though Bray amp..which is beast...

  • @bronxandrew you prob had no idea how to eq the mark v , any body who knows anything about tone knows the mark v is the shit and that the eq on them is different compared to other amps

if you think you can have gain on 10 mids scopped and bass on ten with a mesa you are sadly mistaken mabye that works on your line 6 but not with a mesa

  • @bronxandrew

Please kid, I have been playing guitar for 25 years. I was actually around when the rack digital phase started before Line 6 was even thought of and you were brown stain on the matress. I have heard it the rage of solid state and amp modeling all before and anything trying to emulate a tone is just doing that...emulating. I am guessing you like jerking off better than fucking chicks too.

  • Sounds good to me man. Even if the sound quality of the video isn't the best, u can tell it'd sound awesome in person.

  • @hdrules108 I agree, Line 6 = jack of all tones master of none, I would take a Mesa over crappy line 6 modeller any day, if you can't tell the difference between real tube saturation especially when bending note or harmonics, chords, then you don't have an ear. I have a Digitech GSP1101 which does Mesa better than line six or anything else except Fractal, but I wouldn't claim it to sound as good as the real deal, no way.

  • @SpiralDivinity Funny you mention that, I am in between deciding between a Mesa Mark V, a dual Rec and a Framus Cobra, in your opinion the Framus is not up to the dual rec or the Mark V?

  • @bronxandrew

LOL. Line 6 == modern day Crate. If you THINK any Liine 6 head sounds better than a Mesa Tube Head especially the Mark V then you don't know how to dial in a real amp or you never played in a real band. Thanks for the good laugh.
