@proverbs1824 ummm, actually that is not true. the andantes were used to 'pad' out the vocals on a number of pre 1967 supremes recordings.

@TheBritishUnionist Yep. Mary and Flo are singing the harmony vocals on the full version of this song. It wasn't till after Flo left the Supremes that Motown started using other vocalists (the Andantes) to act as the Supremes after 1967.

@proverbs1824 Oh sure! In fact my wife & I saw Mary sing in Bham (England) about 2 years ago along with Martha Reeves and she was great! Lol, wonder if it really was mary & Flo singing anyway?

@TheBritishUnionist When given the right songs, Diana is quite a capable singer. But, still there were songs better suited for Mary of Flo who were very capable and talented singers in their own right. I do love the way Diane carries this song, however. But, she still needs Mary and Flo singing with her to bring out the richness of her voice.
