  • how would I solve 5(2x - 7) = 8?

  • @sonalisonali245

    Start by distributing the five through to get rid of the parenthesis.

    10x - 35 = 8

    Then add 35 to both sides to get rid of the minus 35.

    10x - 35 + 35 = 8 + 35

    10x = 43

    Finally, divide by 10 on both sides to get the x by itself.

    10x/10 = 43/10

    x = 4.3

    I hope that helps! Keep working hard on your math! :-)

  • can you help me please solve this?

    -4(3-X)+6 = 2(X-3)

  • @xxxAl0nexxx Start by distributing on both sides to get rid of the parenthesis. -12 + 4x + 6 = 2x - 6 Then combine like terms. 4x - 6 = 2x - 6 Get all the variables together on the same side by subtracting 2x from both sides. 4x - 2x - 6 = 2x - 2x - 6 2x - 6 = -6 Get rid of the minus 6 by adding six to both sides. 2x - 6 + 6 = -6 + 6 2x = 0 Finally, divide by 2 on both sides to get the x by itself. 2x/2 = 0/2 x = 0 I hope that helps! Keep working hard on your math! :-)
  • how would you solve m-20=4m+22

  • @phoenixman184

    Start by getting all the variables on the same side.

    m - m - 20 = 4m - m + 22

    -20 = 3m + 22

    Then subtract 22 from both sides.

    -20 - 22 = 3m + 22 - 22

    -42 = 3m

    I bet you can take it from there! Keep working hard on your math! :-)
