Southeast Virginia Microburst

Had a line of severe storms move north from North Carolina into Hampton Roads on Wednesday July 23, 2008. I was shooting from downtown Portsmouth where a microburst moved over with winds near 60-70mph at times... trees were down, large limbs, heavy rains and flooding. Later another line moved into Chesapeake where I set up for a few lightnig strikes.

We get alot of Microbursts here in Eastern Australia, but locally we call them Mini-tornados as it sounds so much cooler than microbursts.

Love this video. Great lightning shots, thunder rumbles, wind and heavy rain. I like that you don't talk alot in this video or play some kinda funky music overtop. I would rather hear the live sound of the storm in all its glory. Storm video and damage video, what more could you want?
