  • 这老头都这么大岁数了,懂得怎么用电脑吗?

  • 昆仑山都去了,据说第七批有毛舰。索马里的黑蜀黍真是我军的贴心人

  • @TWpig

  • hahaha, the helipads look like peace signs

  • On the other hand, PLA Navy is using the Somali pirates issue as the never-before opportunity to rotate just about all their later generations of ocean-capable warships, as well as men, for what seem to become regular training mission that'd give PLA Navy the badly needed opportunity for closest-to-real operation (even combat) experiences.

Besides, Class 071 LPD is the right kind of vessel for such mission, which involves lots of heli-borne insertions, rapid-response ops, etc.

  • @terrorhunter The performance result of a loaded LCAC (by the definition of combat load) and dry would be totally different, so unless they pack a couple of Type 99/96 MBTs and a few of their HUMVEEs - sacrificing weight and space for better mission-fitting purposes - it'd be more of a waste of fuel and effort...

Not to mention testing it at plain sight of the US Navy?

  • @MwRYum maybe the chinese are conducting long distance sea trials for both the 071 and the LCAC and see how they both perform because from what i know the chinese LCAC has never been tested in open waters

  • @terrorhunter I know that, that thing - possibly a full scale mock-up or in prototype stage - was spotted 2 years ago and since no news about it until 2 months ago, when it was again spotted doing powered sea trials. Dimensions is estimated to fit the Type 99 MBT, which is smaller than the US M1A2 MBT.

It's worthy to note that this newsreel is the unofficial disclosure of its existence, fully operational sample, the tool of trade that the LPD is designed to pair with.

  • @MwRYum yup they have a few. slightly smaller than the US LCAC though
