Finally getting to my room after surgery

I am finally in my room after my surgery... I don't really remember any of this but I sound like a druggie because I keep asking for pain meds.. lol... It's not so bad!

Way to go... See i told you everything will be fine. You will be in pain the first 3 days but it will get better. Go easy witht he liquids. You will be swallen for about a week and then after that your appetite will increas so be careful. All the best for the beginning of the new you....

thanks!! Yeah I did it!!! I was excited through the whole thing.... I think that helped.. I didn't have much pain after the 3rd day like you said... just sore when i get up and down.... no appetite yet.... day 6... THANKS!

Thanks! It's day 6 post op and I am feeling sexxy! LoL... I went out shopping and everything yesterday... you are going to do great! The only pain i felt was immediately after waking up and they give you so many meds you won't remember it! It's worth it!

congratulations i'm so happy for you, i wish i can get the lap band done,but unfortunately i don't have any insurance and i don't have that type of money, i'm so worried about my health ,i was recently diagnose for diabetes and high blood pressure .that's why i wanted the surgery so bad to reverse the my illness.

Well there has to be something that can be done.. My insurance covered everything for me... If your health is at risk you have to do what you can.... Most people that get the lap band do reverse a lot of the negative things.. I am already feeling much better 4 months out..

I wish i could get the lap band surgery but unfortunately my insurance will not cover any expenses and I have no way of affording it out of pocket... I really need this done. I've tried exercising, dieting, pills, and home remodies and just cant seem to shake off the weight.... No matter what i eat i can never stop eating until im too full. I just can't seem to tell when....

I had the procedure last year. My BMI was 80 at the time. I wasn't overeating.It was medical for me. I have a bad thyroid and pseudo cushings. The first time they did the surgery they messed up. A week later they tried again and did it. The pain wasn't bad for me. It hurt only when the doctors pressed on my stomach or to roll over. It wasn't bad though. I had a PCA which helped if I was in oain. All I had to do was press a button every 8 minutes and I would get a dose of morphine or fentynal

I'm 17 and I weigh 270-ish, give or take a few pounds. I'm getting it done over the summer, and the way i can afford it is Medicare and that i have these massive headaches caused by this injury i enjured at the county fair November '09. My doctor also says that it's "obesity" but eh.
