A tribute to Jimmy Yancey and his style at its' most simple and beautiful, without any pretentions. And there's my animations too.

  • You've certainly caught the lonesome nostalgia of Jimmy Yancey's slow blues very well indeed. I also loved your animations, especially the car in the night sequence. What animation software do you use?

    Jim Piano Red

  • @jimpianored Thanks! I use Stone age tech: Doodles on paper etc, a scanner, an old version of Photoshop + Adobe ImageReady (a program that makes moving .gif's) and then we go straight into Windows Movie Maker for cutting -- rather primitive, but it works!

Your basic animation softwae just goes to prove that it is the skill of the artist that's important, not the software. Well done, Joakim !
