  • how come my d500 video mode stops automatically after few seconds of recording,it has this white bar that pops on when its about to stop, can you help explain hot to avoid it!

  • sorry for late reply.

its because of your memory card.

its too slow to handle the large amounts of memory going into the card.

i would suggest getting a class 6 card.

    i personally use a Sandisk 4gb extremeIII which is a class 6

  • my God, is that what the auto focus sounds like, makes me not want to get the camera

  • i was using the normal 18-55 for this...

its not that great but remember the movie thing is a feature..not a main use for the CAMERA....you can always get another lens that is quieter but the main thing people use is manual focus

  • The lude ^_^

  • Whats that R2D2 sound ?

  • @missterry2009 Yeah your card is to slow, it actually tells you to use a fast memory card in the owners manual.

  • @Achikennugget thanks for your reply, your right, its the memory card,if it has no sufficient space,it automatically stop the video recording!..im using 8g card, now i bought a new card only for video!thanks again!

  • You'll be hard pressed to find a camera with silent autofocus at that price range. Use manual focus anyway. I'd actually suggest going into the custom functions menu and reassigning your AF button to the AEL button (Button on the top right on the back of the camera). That way you can frame your shot, and tune your manual focus (ESPECIALLY if you have a lens similar to the 50mm f/1.4 with MF override).
